Applying as a Transfer Student
Each year we enroll approximately 900 transfer students into the sophomore and junior classes at Carolina. Transfer students bring with them a diversity of background and experiences that enrich our community tremendously, and we welcome them into the full academic and extracurricular life of the University.
All transfer applicants except those wishing to transfer directly into the School of Nursing as juniors may apply through the Common Application. We also accept transfer applications submitted through the College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC), however please note that certain majors must apply through the Common Application. Check Your Application Status
After you submit your application, we'll send you instructions regarding your MyCarolina account. Through MyCarolina, you'll be able to track the status of your application, including any missing items and your admission decision.
