Welcome to the Tar Heel family! As president, I have the honor of welcoming you to a community that includes the most talented and engaged students in the nation.
Carolina is a special place to us all—it’s a place to explore our passions, foster life-long friendships, and pursue rigorous academic courses that ultimately prepare us for a successful life. Here, you’ll make connections with friendly students, who, just like you, are determined to make a difference in the lives of others. And you’ll have the opportunity to expand your mind in countless ways, both inside and outside the classroom.
These four years will pass by quickly so I encourage you to make the most of them. I encourage you to get an early start by signing up for your choice of events just for admitted students. As a student from Tennessee, my experience at Explore Carolina was life-changing. After just one day at Carolina, I knew that this was the place I belonged.
