What It's Like to Be A Tar Heel

I chose Carolina because as I first walked on the beautiful campus I felt the kinship among the students of this prestigious University, I felt the tremendous love of the University, and I could feel how special it is to be a Tar Heel.

Carolina has provided me the opportunity to change my life. Engaging professors let you see life from a different angle, while a multitude of extracurriculars offer you the ability to shape your life and pursue any interest you could possibly imagine.

I have found an internship, become a University ambassador, become involved with the NC fellows leadership program, taken a leadership role in my church, and made the best friends of my life. Carolina has provided me the opportunity to change my life and become a better person.

When I think of Carolina, I think of a home away from home. I am from Florida and never thought I could be as fond of a place as I was of there, but I was clearly mistaken as Carolina is now the home of some of my fondest memories.
