National Championship

It is the day after the UNC men’s basketball team has won the National Championship and as a senior, I cannot even express how much this means to me. My freshman year we had a record of 8-20 and now we are the best in the nation. I have been a Tar Heel fan for as long as I can remember and this is the ultimate pay-off. I was proud of UNC before we won but I am even more so now. Celebrating on Franklin Street showed me how much solidarity and spirit there is at this school.

I came 500 miles away from home to come to Carolina because it is the BEST…not just in basketball but in every way: academically, socially and athletically. I love this school and will always love this school and I think that any student here will tell you the same thing. Being a Tar Heel doesn’t mean just being a basketball fan…it means being a part of a wonderful institution with wonderful people and something you will cherish forever.
