TAR HEELS TALK: ALISON

My Background

I'm from a small town, right outside New York City, called Rye, NY. I've lived in New York and by the shore all of my life so one of my biggest loves is the ocean. I participated in track (winter, spring and cross country) in high school, as well as dance. Dance, especially ballet, is probably what I love the most, but I've always had a thing for horses. I rode horses for 6 or so years before I had to stop due to time constraints.

I was once a very shy girl, but have since broken out of my shell and become much more outgoing. People probably think of me as a loyal, honest friend who is always there to talk to. I'm hard working and very conscious of grades, but I also like to have fun. This is part of the reason I'm at Carolina—it's the perfect combination of academics and fun!
