Background
Hey, my name's
David. I'm 20 years old from Pasadena, MD, a small town right between
Baltimore and Annapolis. That makes me part of a 20% minority at
Carolina -- an out-of-stater! Don't worry if anyone tells you that
you'll be put at a disadvantage coming from outside North Carolina.
Everything you've heard about Southern hospitality is absolutely
true, and within two weeks at Carolina, you'll be eating BBQ and
saying "Y'all" like you grew up here. Trust me, it's great
:)
I have no motivation
to be a part of this program other than to show you how much I love
Carolina. I don't get paid, I don't get service hours, and at the
moment there's no mention of using a company car either -- so I'm
here for you and you alone.
Carolina was
a dream school that I applied to, and luckily I got in. I'm not
here to tell you that you MUST come to Carolina. Instead I'm here
to tell you that if you think Carolina might be right for you, or
that you'd like to know more about the school and its students,

Here's
a little more about me: I was a bit of an over-achiever in high
school and I've carried that over into my college career. I love
being active and having a voice, so I've gotten involved on campus
with activities like being a Social Chair in the Residence
Hall Association, working with Campus
Recreation intramurals as a S.P.O.R.T.S. Agent, and most importantly,
walking around our beautiful campus backwards in order to give campus
tours to people like you!
