My
Background
As the son
of a UNC alum, I was bred to be a Carolina Tar Heel. Some might
call this being brainwashed; however, I believe it's only brainwashing
if it's bad.
If
I had to describe myself in one word, it would be “passionate.”
Whether it be politics, my school work, or my love for UNC and basketball,
I absorb myself in my interests. My friends often say that I am
passionate to a fault because I get too worked up over a buzzer
beater loss in basketball or a stupid mistake on a test. At times
I wish I could control these feelings, but what is the point of
life if you don’t feel a connection to the people and things
that are important to you?
I'm
participating in this online profile because of my passion and love
for UNC. For as long as I can remember, UNC is where I wanted to
attend college. Before enrolling at UNC, my connection to UNC was
external and relied on sports. After attending UNC for two years,
however, my passion for this university runs much deeper than just
sports. Now, it encompasses everything from the Old Well to the
people of the past like Charles Kuralt and President James K. Polk
to, most importantly, the great people who I have met here and cannot
be replaced.
To
give you a little more information about myself: I'm a double major
in Business Administration and Economics from Atlanta, Georgia.
My dad, and greatest supporter, graduated from UNC in 1972. Other
interests of mine include politics and business management. Unfortunately,
I realize that I cannot stay here forever and must graduate in two
years. After college, I'm hoping to move to NYC and work as an investment
banker before ultimately going back to college for an MBA.
