What I like most and least about Carolina

What do I like the most and the least about Carolina? Well, the list of things I like about UNC is very long, so I shall start with what I like the least. One word: construction. For any of you who have had the opportunity to tour UNC, you probably saw some construction. There is construction everywhere. When they complete a project, it always seems like there is something else to begin working on. It gets annoying; nonetheless, when the construction is over on a building and you begin to use that building, you quickly forget how annoying the construction was.

So what do I like the most about Carolina? There are several things I absolutely love about UNC. The level of academics and the level of the professors are phenomenal. The campus is absolutely beautiful. But those aren’t the things that I like the most at UNC.

The thing I like the most at UNC is the student body. If you talk to students here, you will hear about how active everyone is and how amazing the student body is. Before I arrived at UNC, I heard about the student body and, to be honest, I didn’t believe it entirely. Then I arrived here. And I found it to be entirely true.

The student body here is so diverse that you can find a group of people who are interested in the same things you are. But what if you aren’t one of those constantly “being involved and leading things” kinda person? A diverse, active student body still benefits you. There are always activities available for students to participate in whether or not they are a member of that organization. Groups bring in speakers for debates; a cappella groups put on concerts; service projects are open to all. So whether you are constantly involved or just looking for something to do on a Friday night, the UNC student body is the fit for you.
